She Flies

She flies in her dreams. What does it mean?
Is it a glimpse of what’s to be?
Or longing to be free?
Free from life’s travails in the hours before dawn.
She flies in her dreams and wakes up withdrawn.

He never dreams. What does it mean?
Is he blind to what will be?
Or, perhaps he’s already free.
Free from life’s travails in the hours before dawn. 
She flies in her dreams and he wakes with a yawn.
